Understanding InDesign CS3 XML features is vital for anyone planning to implement InDesign as part of an XML based workflow. InDesign offers a wide range of integration approaches, from merely manual XML import/export, to fully automated workflow through scripting. The two days are divided in a beginners and an expert session, where one can attend either both days or only day one. The training aims to present InDesign XML features from an integrators perspective. On day two, the focus is one more advanced XML features, scripting level automation and concepts based on use-cases and scenarios. To get most out of the training, participants are expected to have at least basic knowledge in XML, JavaScript and InDesign. JavaScript is used as the scripting language during the training. InDesign C++ SDK is not covered by this training.
